ME ISSEY MIYAKE

“REmeTEX” is a series that recycles reclaimed fabric collected through the me ISSEY MIYAKE’s garment-making process, and transforms them into new clothes.

Utilizing “Hanmou”, a technique for recycling fibers, the scraps are returned to fibers and spun and rewoven into fabric once more. The first in this series uses reclaimed fabric from me ISSEY MIYAKE’s representative STRETCH PLEATS to create familiar everyday denim items.

You can catch glimpses of the prints and colors of the original fabrics in the new textile and enjoy different expressions in every item. Editing fabric and giving it new life—me ISSEY MIYAKE is undertaking an initiative that looks to the future.
